Study guides built from your own notes
You already did the hard part.
The lectures, the readings, the half-legible bullets in three different apps. An exam in ten days, and the study guide you meant to make is still a blank page.
Bento takes the notes you have and turns them into a plan you can actually start.
Your notes in one place, class by class
In Bento, every class has its own space. Each lecture sits where it belongs under that class.
You type your notes in during class or drag and drop if you have captured them somewhere else. Then you have one place to scroll instead of hunting through folders and apps.
The AI reads only what you wrote and builds from there.
A study guide built from your own words
When you are ready, click a button and create a guide.
Bento’s AI reads the notes for that class and builds a study guide from them. Not from a search engine, not from someone else’s summary.
Because the guide comes from your notes, it matches what you actually covered. The clearer your notes, the clearer the guide.
You can skim the guide, click back into the original notes, and add anything the guide reminded you to write down.
Practice questions and feedback that match your notes
From the same notes, Bento asks the AI to write practice questions.
They are built from your material, not a generic topic outline. What shows up in a question is something you already saw in class or wrote down yourself.
You answer inside the app. When you check, the AI does not give you a mark. It tags each one:
- got it
- kinda got it
- revisit
You see where you are solid and where you are guessing. You can click straight back to the notes for that lecture while it is still fresh.
A quiet nudge where your notes are thin
As you work through a class, Bento sees which lectures have notes and which ones are still empty.
The AI can point out the gaps. It will say where your notes are thin, so you know what to revisit in the slides, readings or recordings.
You keep control. It surfaces the weak spots instead of covering them over.
The AI never touches your notes
Your notes stay yours.
Bento’s AI will not write essays, problem sets or assignment answers. It never overwrites what you wrote.
The study guide, the practice questions and the feedback all sit beside your notes. You can delete them, regenerate them or ignore them. Your original text stays as you left it.
Built from your notes, on your desktop
Most study apps live in a browser and generate content from the web.
Bento is different.
It is a desktop planner. Your syllabus, calendar, classes and notes live in a folder on your own computer.
The AI study guides and questions are generated from your notes, on your desktop, with no account and nothing kept on a server. On a subscription, AI requests pass through our server to Anthropic and are not kept. On a License, your computer talks straight to your provider with your own key, stored encrypted on your machine. You can read more about that in how Bento uses AI.
The result is simple: the better your notes, the better the guide. And if your notes are missing, Bento tells you, instead of pretending everything is covered.
Free planner first, AI when you are ready
Bento is a free desktop planner with the AI features off. Calendar, classes, tray, notes and marks all work without an account or a card. You can see how it fits your term in minutes.
When you want the AI study guides and practice questions, you turn them on:
- A subscription includes the AI. You pay monthly and the AI features are ready to use.
- Or you can buy a License once. You bring your own API key from Anthropic or OpenAI into Settings and pay that provider directly for what you use.
You can see how setup works step by step in getting started.
Try it with one lecture
Download the free planner from the home page.
Make one class. Drop in the notes from one lecture.
When you are ready for the study guide, turn the AI on and let it build from what you already wrote.
